International Conference
The International Conference on Communication Skills Integration into the Engineering Curricula during the Digital Era took place in Riga, Latvia on October 18, 2024. Hosted as part of the 65th International Scientific Conference of Riga Technical University (RTU). The conference was organized as part of the Erasmus+ teaching week, with representatives from various universities, offering both in-person and virtual participation options.
This Multiplier Event showcased the significant progress made through the SUCCESS project, with project results shared and discussed in depth. Presentations from partner universities, along with contributions from a select group of students, highlighted various perspectives on the project’s core themes. The event also emphasized the importance of communication skills in engineering education and explored the development of customized courses and modules aimed at enhancing the competencies of future engineers. The conference provided an excellent platform for open communication, where participants had the opportunity to engage with the SUCCESS project materials and discuss their practical application in higher education and industry. The event also explored critical topics such as the growing demand for skilled employees in Europe, the role of universities in addressing industry needs, and institutional approaches to equality, diversity, and inclusion in learning and teaching. Participants, including industry representatives and higher education institutions, contributed valuable insights into new teaching methods and the future of engineering education.
This international forum fostered collaboration and dialogue, helping shape the future of engineering curricula in the digital era while highlighting the essential role of communication skills in the success of engineers in the global job market.
